70.7% is the carvacrol content of the oregano essential oil ingredient before it is blended at 7% into 93% cold-pressed black seed oil; it is not the carvacrol content of the finished bottle.

How to check any oil of oregano before you buy
A carvacrol percentage on a label does not always say what it was measured on, or whether it was measured at all. Four questions worth asking about any brand, including ours:
- Is the carvacrol figure measured, or only “standardized”? A standardization claim is a target; a lab result is a measurement. Ours: the oregano oil was measured at 70.7% carvacrol by GC.
- Does the percentage describe the oregano oil or the whole bottle? Oregano oil is always diluted into a carrier, so the two numbers are very different. Ours: 70.7% describes the oregano oil ingredient, which is 7% of the bottle.
- What is the carrier oil, and at what ratio? Ours: 93% cold-pressed black seed oil to 7% oregano oil, stated on the label.
- Can the seller show the lab documentation? Ours: the GC report for the oregano oil is linked above, and the black seed oil has a batch COA.

How to use, storage and warnings
How to use: shake well before each use. Take 1 mL (one full dropper) once daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider. Taking it with or just after food softens the sharp taste some people notice. Do not exceed the label serving. One 3.38 oz (100 ml) bottle is about 100 servings — roughly three months.
Storage: keep the cap closed and the bottle somewhere cool and dark, away from direct light and heat. Amber glass slows light exposure but does not stop it.
Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing, under 12 years old, taking blood thinners, or allergic to plants in the mint family (oregano, thyme, marjoram, basil). Talk to your doctor before starting any new supplement, especially if you take prescription medicine. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

What makes black seed oil different from an olive-oil carrier?
Oregano oil is always diluted into a carrier. Most brands use olive or sunflower oil because they are neutral and inexpensive. This blend uses cold-pressed black seed oil (Nigella sativa) instead, so the carrier contributes thymoquinone rather than nothing.

How much carvacrol is in this oil of oregano with black seed oil?
The oregano essential oil used in the blend is standardized to 70% carvacrol, and GC analysis of that oregano essential oil measured 70.7% carvacrol (lab reference GC-20260151, oregano oil code DNZ26). The finished blend is 7% oregano essential oil to 93% cold-pressed black seed oil by volume, so 70.7% describes the oregano oil ingredient, not the finished bottle. Both figures are on the Supplement Facts panel above; the thymoquinone in the black seed oil is documented per batch on its Certificate of Analysis.
Why do some oregano labels show 6,000 mg or more?
Many oil of oregano labels show a "herb equivalent" figure. It is a calculation: the amount of oil or extract in the product multiplied by an extract ratio, such as 20:1, to estimate how much dried oregano herb it stands for. That is why a softgel holding 300 mg of oil can carry "6,000 mg" on the front of the pack. A herb-equivalent figure does not tell you how much carvacrol you are taking.
We do not use herb equivalents. Our figures start from independent laboratory analysis of the oils themselves: the oregano oil was measured at 70.7% carvacrol by GC, and the black seed oil at 2.26% thymoquinone per its batch Certificate of Analysis. When you compare products, look for milligrams of carvacrol per serving, and ask to see the lab report behind it.
Can I take it every day, and who should not take it?
It is labeled for daily use at 1 mL (one full dropper) once a day. Do not use it if you are pregnant or nursing, under 12, taking blood thinners, or allergic to the mint family, and ask a healthcare professional first if you take prescription medicine. Can I return it?
